DP World Asia Cup 2025 Kicks Off in Sharjah

The countdown to the DP World Asia Cup 2025 has begun, with preparations well underway for the highly anticipated tri-series tournament. The event, scheduled to run from September 9 to 28, will see Pakistan, Afghanistan, and UAE competing in Sharjah.

The tournament will feature a total of 17 matches, with 11 taking place in Dubai and 8 in Abu Dhabi. The UAE has been confirmed as the host nation for the event, marking a significant moment for cricket in the region.

The matches will predominantly start at 6:30pm local time (GST), with the exception of the UAE vs Oman game on September 15, which will kick off at 4:00pm. The tournament schedule includes specific dates, cities, and times for each match, ensuring fans have ample time to plan their viewing experience.

The opener of the tournament will take place in Abu Dhabi, while the final match will be held in Dubai on September 28. In the meantime, cricket enthusiasts can look forward to exciting encounters such as the India vs UAE match on September 10 in Dubai, and the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match on September 14, also in Dubai.

India's squad, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will assemble in Dubai on September 4 for training at the ICC Academy. Tickets for the DP World Asia Cup 2025 went on sale on Friday, starting at AED 40 for Abu Dhabi matches and AED 50 for Dubai matches. Fans can choose from standalone tickets and online purchasing options, or opt for a seven-match package, including the India-Pakistan game, priced from AED 1,400.

The tournament will see Group A consisting of India (defending champions), Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B will include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. A reserve day has been scheduled for September 29, in case of any weather-related disruptions.

The DP World Asia Cup 2025 will be the first edition to feature 8 teams, with 2 more teams compared to the last edition. With the tournament schedule now available, fans can start making their plans to witness the thrilling cricket action unfold in the UAE.
