Revised parking mobile application unveiled
The city administration of Nizhny Novgorod has announced a significant change for its paid parking system. Starting from September 2025, the system will transition to the mobile app RuParking.
This shift is part of a larger modernization effort, which includes updates to the website and mobile app, as well as the modernization of paid parking components. As a result, the current SMS payment number, 7522, will remain the same.
All users of the paid parking system are advised to download the new version of the RuParking mobile app. During the transition period, a password recovery process for personal accounts will be necessary.
The previous versions of the RuParking mobile app will be unavailable to prevent system errors during the transition. It is important to note that the website for the parking system, www.parkovkinn.ru, will remain unchanged and will not be affected by this transition.
During the transition period, scheduled from September 2 to 7, the payment system will be unavailable for 24 hours. This temporary unavailability is necessary to ensure a smooth transition and the introduction of new features.
The new RuParking mobile app offers several benefits. Users will now be able to correct a vehicle's license plate number or tariff zone up to the end of the current day. Additionally, the app will allow users to use any bank card for corrections.
The city administration assures that user account information, including balance, vehicles, subscriptions, and parking permits, will be preserved during the transition.
The RuParking mobile app is already operational in several other Russian cities, including Tula, Tver, Perm, Tyumen, Rostov-on-Don, Cheboksary, Yalta, Novorossiysk, Rzhev, Vladimir, Makhachkala, Suzdal, Sevastopol, and Sochi.
