Rivers Casinos Collaborate with Community Partners to Foster Workforce Growth and Economic Advancement on September 17th
Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming Announce Third Annual "Rivers Gives Day of Service"
Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming are gearing up for their third annual "Rivers Gives Day of Service," a community outreach initiative focused on workforce development and economic opportunity. This year's event is set to take place on September 17, 2025, and will see over 6,000 Team Members from all five Rivers' gaming properties and Rush Street's Chicago HQ participating.
Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming, expressed his pride in the company's commitment to supporting the communities they serve: "We are proud to support workforce development and economic opportunity in the areas where we operate."
In Schenectady, New York, Rivers Casino is partnering with YWCA NorthEastern NY for the 2025 event. Volunteers will be cleaning, painting, and preparing dinners at the domestic violence shelter, organizing the STRIVE boutique, and hosting a financial wellness and job literacy workshop at the administrative offices.
The YWCA's STRIVE program provides individuals with essential life and career skills, helping them to secure employment and build a better future. Rivers Team Members will also participate in a donation drive to collect professional clothing, shoes, water bottles, travel mugs, planners, and backpacks for women entering the workforce.
Guests at Rivers Casino can contribute to the donation drive by placing chips, uncashed slot vouchers, or currency in a Rivers Gives collection box located on the gaming floor. In addition, a $10,000 check will be presented to YWCA representatives to support their programs.
"Rivers Gives" is Rush Street Gaming's community outreach program, with pillars including volunteerism, board service, donation drives, in-kind contributions, and corporate giving. The first Rivers Gives Day of Service was held in 2023, with subsequent events supporting military veterans, first responders, and health and wellness nonprofits.
Various Rivers Casino property activations and information exchanges are planned systemwide, covering topics such as job readiness, tuition reimbursement, home buying, financial literacy, and more. Each Rivers Casino contributes thousands of volunteer hours to local nonprofit partners each year through Rivers Gives.
