Road Accident on A20 with Reported Injuries
In an unfortunate incident on September 5, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the A20 between Kröpelin and Neukloster exits, heading towards Lübeck. The accident involved a Mercedes car and a Seat car, resulting in both vehicles being totaled with an estimated damage of 35,000 EUR.
The drivers involved were a 37-year-old in the Mercedes and a 38-year-old in the Seat. Thankfully, both drivers sustained slight injuries and were promptly transported to nearby hospitals by RTWs. As a precaution, a rescue helicopter was deployed.
The incident was skillfully handled by the Police Master Sergeant of the Autobahn and Traffic Police Station Metelsdorf, Marian Jelito. The service chief of the police headquarters in Rostock, Andreas Walus, who was recently promoted to senior police director, was also involved in the proceedings, as he is currently part of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern police leadership.
