Robber Flee in Bocholt: Valuables Abandoned after Criminal's Escape
In the early hours of August 25, 2025, a burglary took place on Osterstraße in Bocholt. The suspect, described as a 20-year-old man, approximately 1.70 meters tall, with an athletic build, and wearing a black hoodie, light jeans, and black shoes, was seen forcing open a commercial building door.
According to reports transmitted via news aktuell, the man made off with a cash register and fled on an e-scooter. He was later seen disappearing over a high fence on Pottmeyers Stiege.
The police are currently searching for the suspect and are appealing for more witnesses to come forward. The Kreispolizeibehörde Borken (District Police Authority Borken) is leading the investigation.
