Room-Wide, Cable-Free Power Transmission with Wi-Charge Technology

Wi-Charge, a promising new technology developed by Wi Solar, is set to revolutionize the way we power our devices. Currently in Beta and only available through a select program, Wi-Charge offers a wireless charging solution that turns an entire room into a charging station, freeing users from the constraints of traditional charging methods.

The Wi-Charge products, including the Rayo for smart buildings, the Light for mobile devices, and the Kiik for iPads, webcams, and wireless speakers, are designed to cater to common mobile devices. One unique feature of Wi-Charge is that it allows multiple devices to be charged simultaneously, without the need for users to place their devices on a surface.

In a room up to 250 square feet, a single transmitter can cover the area, providing wireless power to devices as they move freely around. The charger for Wi-Charge is strategically located on the ceiling of the room, ensuring a clutter-free environment.

Wi-Charge potentially offers a more advanced wireless charging solution compared to current options. However, specific details about the availability, cost, or efficiency of the Wi-Charge products in the Beta program are not provided at this time.

For businesses aiming to incorporate wireless power functionality into their product line, Wi-Charge is offering the Beta program. The company is targeting this technology towards businesses, with the potential to significantly enhance the wireless power capabilities of various products.

As a testament to its practicality, Wi Solar has already implemented its modular scalable parking and charging system, "Wi park & charge," in a charging park with 20 wallboxes at the Marienhof of the Catholic Clinic. This indicates that Wi-Charge is not just a concept, but a technology already in practical use.
