In a harrowing incident, Russian alpinist Natalia Nogovitsyna has found herself in a precarious situation on Peak Victory in Kyrgyzstan. According to reports by TASS news agency, Nogovitsyna has sustained an injury and is currently unable to descend from the mountain independently.

The exact nature of her injury is not known, but it is confirmed that she has a broken leg. Nogovitsyna has been stuck on the mountain for an undisclosed period, with at least a week having passed since she awaited help.

The appeal for help was made public by an unspecified source, and the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan has since been closely dealing with the situation. The embassy has reported on the incident, confirming that Nogovitsyna is currently at an altitude of approximately 7,102 meters.
