Russian military initiates extensive missile barrage against Ukraine
In the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, several significant events have taken place over the past few days.
On August 31, the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on Ukraine, affecting various regions. One of the areas hit was Chernomorsk, where part of the city was left without power due to the attack.
The missiles used in the attack included the X-101 missiles, "Gerber" missiles, and over a hundred "Geranies". This information was reported by the Telegram channel "Mash".
The strikes were not limited to Chernomorsk. Odessa and the Odessa region also experienced attacks, affecting a ship repair plant, warehouses, military facilities, and ports.
Russian drones were also reported to have attacked the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, adding to the escalating tension.
In a concerning development, Ukrainian military officer Tkachuk stated that a significant threat hangs over Kupiansk. According to Tkachuk, significant Russian reserve forces are concentrated in the Kupiansk sector. However, the name of the commander of the Russian reserve troops concentrated near Kupiansk remains undisclosed.
These events serve as a reminder of the ongoing conflict and the continued risk to the safety and security of the people in these regions. It is crucial for all parties involved to prioritise diplomacy and peace to prevent further escalation.
