Samsung set to unveil a three-fold smartphone and AI-integrated glasses this month, bypassing Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 launch.
Samsung is rumoured to be hosting an Unpacked event in South Korea on September 29, according to recent reports. This event could potentially mark the debut of several new products, including the Galaxy Z TriFold phone, Galaxy Glasses, and the XR headset from Project Moohan.
The Galaxy Z Fold series, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold 7, has gained significant traction in the market. Samsung might also choose South Korea for the presentation of these new devices, along with Project Moohan, in late September or early October.
The XR headset from Project Moohan has already been showcased at several events this year, including the Galaxy S25 Unpacked, Google I/O, and AWE 2025. It is expected to launch in the United States before the end of the year.
Rumours suggest that Samsung is only preparing 50,000 units of the Galaxy Z TriFold for sale, presumably to gauge customer interest. The device is said to be available only in China and South Korea, as of now.
In a recent user experience share, a user switched a gaming monitor for an OLED TV and playing on the Samsung S90D opened their eyes. This indicates a growing interest in Samsung's innovative display technology.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE was announced last year, but was only available in its home country. It remains to be seen if the company will expand its availability for this device.
Meanwhile, Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 17 next week, adding another exciting event to the tech calendar.
Lastly, it's worth noting that a recent rumor suggests that the "Haean" glasses will launch alongside the Moohan headset. The specifics of the Galaxy Glasses are yet to be revealed, but they are expected to be a significant addition to Samsung's lineup of wearable technology.
