Sands Chairman to Depart Role by 2026, Shifting to Senior Consultant Position

Robert Goldstein, former CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corporation (LVS), has announced his departure from the position, effective March 1st, 2026. Patrick Dumont, Governor of the Dallas Mavericks and current President and COO of LVS, will replace him as both chair and CEO. Goldstein will transition into a two-year role as a senior advisor for the company.

In light of this development, Dumont's significant influence within LVS is expected to persist. He currently oversees the company's operations and strategic initiatives, which have recently included a major partnership with the NBA in Macao.

Dumont, son-in-law of the late gaming mogul Sheldon Adelson, rose to prominence in LVS following Adelson's passing in 2021. His wife, Miriam Adelson, became the owner of LVS at that time, with Dumont continuing to play a pivotal role in the company's operations.

The specifics of Goldstein's role post-departure and the structure of LVS's leadership following his departure are not currently detailed. However, with Dumont's continued involvement in the company's leadership, it is anticipated that the course set by LVS will remain consistent.
