Savoring flavors on a grand scale
The Streetfood Mile Hoherweg is set to make a comeback on Saturday, September 7, promising a delightful day out for food lovers, families, and music enthusiasts alike.
This time around, visitors can look forward to a wider variety of food trucks and attractions, as announced by the organisers. The event, which runs from 12:00 to approximately 19:00, will feature over 40 food stalls, offering culinary delights from all corners of the globe.
Neuss-based soloist Clara Krum will provide music from 13:00 to 17:00, while the "Summer of Love" band will offer chill pop and rock tunes on the two live stages. Star chef David Freitag, appearing under the name "Bears Streetfood", will also be present.
For the little ones, several bouncy castles, a climbing hill, and a miniature train ride around the Automeile are available. The miniature train, a new addition to this year's event, will allow children to travel along the mile and disembark at different stations.
Organiser Marc Pesch promises a variety of dishes for every taste, with culinary highlights including local Eifel forest specialties, US beef burgers, African, Chilean, or Mexican dishes, grilled sausages with South American spices, bubble waffles, crepes, Italian pasta and pizza specialties, and Rhineland cuisine. Suitable drinks such as cocktails, wines, Altbier, Pils, soft drinks, coffee, and cocoa specialties will also be available.
Parking is conveniently available around the Streetfood Mile, including at car dealerships, Automeile parking garage, and Stadtwerke Düsseldorf parking lot. Tram and bus stops are nearby, making it easy for visitors to reach the event.
The organisers expect a larger visitor influx than the premiere, so it's advisable to arrive early to secure a spot and enjoy the full Streetfood Mile experience. Automeile car dealerships will participate with offers, moderation, and two live stages, adding to the festive atmosphere.
