Butterfield Scholarship Awards Three Students for 2025
Butterfield, a global banking group, has announced the recipients of its 2025 scholarship programme. Three outstanding students from different regions have been awarded scholarships to support their academic and career ambitions.
Zoe Bowen from the Cayman Islands and Olivia Morgan from Guernsey will be studying Business Management and Business and Management with Innovation, respectively, at the University of Bristol. Jeriel Fernandes from Bermuda will be pursuing a degree in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Liverpool.
The Butterfield scholarship is aimed at students with an interest in financial services. It extends to students in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and the Channel Islands. This year, the Butterfield Channel Islands Undergraduate Scholarship was awarded for the first time.
Zoe Bowen received the Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship because she was recognised as a promising student. The scholarship aims to support her academic and career ambitions in business management. Olivia Morgan, on the other hand, received the Butterfield Channel Islands Undergraduate Scholarship. She will receive £22.2k for the upcoming academic year.
Jeriel Fernandes was awarded the Sir Harry D. Butterfield Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is also part of the Butterfield scholarship programme, which invests in the education of students across different regions and various fields of study, including Mathematics, Economics, and Business Management.
Richard Saunders, Butterfield's Managing Director of the Channel Islands & UK, made the announcement. He expressed delight at awarding the scholarship to Olivia Morgan. He also stated that the scholarship recipients are being empowered to achieve their career ambitions.
These scholarships are a testament to Butterfield's commitment to providing opportunities for young students. The scholarships can be maintained for up to four academic years, allowing the recipients to fully immerse themselves in their studies and achieve their academic and career goals.
