School Traffic Regulations Implemented at Opening; School Façade Vandalized, Incurring €500 Damage; Cyclist Involved in Traffic Collision, Evades Responsibility and additional incidents
The Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters has taken action to ensure road safety, particularly as the summer holidays come to an end and schools prepare to reopen in August.
On Monday, the police station in the town of Schlüchtern led traffic controls in their area of responsibility. Two stationary controls were conducted in Schlüchtern and Birstein by uniformed officers, with civilian police officers also on duty in various locations, such as on the state road between Steinau an der Straße and Marjoß.
However, the peace was disrupted when a school building in Schlüchtern, situated on Garden Street, was vandalized with a black marker pen, causing approximately €500 worth of damage. The police are currently investigating this incident and are seeking witnesses.
