School year commencement at Provadis

Provadis, a renowned training institution, hosted its traditional Welcome Day on September 1st, welcoming 504 new apprentices to its campus at the Industriepark Höchst.

The day was filled with opportunities for the new apprentices to mingle and relax, getting to know each other as they embarked on their training journey. The event featured a social part, complete with music, tours, non-alcoholic summer cocktails, and a selfie booth, providing a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The apprentices are starting their training in more than 40 different training professions, ranging from lab and tech to logistics and commercial occupations. This diversity reflects the wide range of opportunities available at Provadis.

Dr. Astrid Merz, head of training at Provadis, emphasized the focus on personal development for apprentices. She explained, "We believe in nurturing each individual's potential, ensuring they receive the best possible start to their careers."

The new apprentices will be part of a three-pronged training system, which includes vocational school, in-house training, and learning units at Provadis. This system is designed to provide a comprehensive and balanced learning experience.

The occupation rate for the offered training positions at Provadis stands at around 97 percent, a testament to the institution's success in preparing its apprentices for the workforce.

In addition to training apprentices on its own, Provadis also works with external partner companies in the surrounding area, such as Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH, Infraserv GmbH & Co. KG, Celanese Production Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Siemens AG, AbbVie Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Lufthansa Cargo AG, and Deutsche Börse AG.

The occupation rate in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, where many of these partner companies operate, is 89.7 percent, highlighting the demand for well-trained professionals in these fields.

The proximity to the Industriepark Höchst enhances the practical learning environment, allowing apprentices to gain valuable hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

With great interest in the fields of chemistry and IT, these new apprentices are poised to make a significant impact in their chosen professions. As they embark on their training, they can look forward to a rewarding and fulfilling career journey.
