Schoolchildren from Verkhnykolayevsk, located in Sochi, will have to take an alternate route to school due to the closure of a nearby bridge.
In the city of Sochi, students from rural areas can look forward to a more streamlined and affordable journey to school starting from September 1. The Sochi Department of Transport and Road Management has announced a comprehensive transportation plan that caters to over 5,000 students from rural areas.
According to the head of the Sochi Administration's transport department, Vladimir Vinogradov, students can take advantage of route No. 136 to reach the bridge. After crossing the bridge on foot, they can board a bus of the same route to the "Kudepsta" stop.
For added convenience, the transportation arrangement is not limited to School No. 18 in Verkhnenikolaevskoye. In some cases, a school bus will meet students after the bridge and take them to the school building according to a set schedule. This arrangement may also involve a combination of walking and bus travel.
To make the journey more affordable, students can use the "School Student Card". With this card, students can pay for their travel with a 50% discount. Moreover, payment using the "Palma" card will be counted as a single trip, providing further cost savings.
It's important to note that this transportation plan applies in both directions, meaning students can return home after classes using the same scheme. The plan may also include additional bus routes, although route No. 136 has been specifically mentioned.
The Sochi administration's transport department has reported that this arrangement is part of their commitment to ensuring that every student, regardless of their location, has access to quality education. For more information, students and parents are encouraged to contact the Sochi Department of Transport and Road Management.
