Scooter collision results in injuries to driver
On September 5, 2025, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Wormserstraße/Industriestraße in Frankenthal. The incident involved a motorcyclist and a red SUV/off-road vehicle.
According to the available reports, the motorcyclist, aged 58, was attempting to pass through the intersection from Wilhelm-Hauf-Straße to Industriestraße. The SUV, turning left from Industriestraße onto the L523, failed to notice the oncoming motorcyclist and caused the accident. As a result, the motorcyclist had to swerve to avoid a collision, causing him to fall off his motorcycle and sustain multiple injuries.
The motorcyclist was promptly attended to by emergency services and was taken to a hospital. The SUV, however, fled the scene, heading towards Bobenheim-Roxheim.
The authorities are seeking witnesses and information to identify the driver of the red SUV.
