"Second Installment of Marigold"
A week passed without a reply to Marigold's letter, but her spirits remained undeterred. In her garden suburb home, she expressed feelings of boredom since losing her husband, seeking a change in her monotonous life.
During the second week, Marigold's post box yielded a treasure: a letter. The sight of it brought a spring to her step as she tore it open with relish, revealing the words of a stranger.
The stranger, it turned out, was Dave Peters, a man who had responded to Marigold's advertisement in the local newspaper. Marigold, at sixty years of age, had voiced concerns about her age being a factor, but Dave Peters did not mention it in his reply.
In his email, Dave Peters sent a recent photo, accompanied by another wonderful message. Marigold, in return, attached a photo from ten years ago, hoping to show him a glimpse of her past.
Marigold found Dave Peters' response just what she was looking for. With high expectations, she asked him about his past relationships, job, and travels. Despite her mature age, she made it clear that she was not too old for new experiences.
As their correspondence continued, Marigold felt a sense of excitement about the possibility of meeting Dave Peters. He provided his email address as a means of communication, and the two continued to exchange messages, bringing a new lease of life to Marigold's days.
