Seizure of Narcotics in Gladbeck during a Search Operation
In a significant development, the Recklinghausen Police conducted a search at a residence in Gladbeck on July 22, 2025. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking by a 25-year-old suspect.
The search, carried out by the Criminal Police of Recklinghausen Police Headquarters, took place in the Zweckel district. During the operation, investigators seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs and other incriminating evidence.
A total of 3.4 kilograms of marijuana, 1.6 kilograms of amphetamine, 0.5 kilograms of ecstasy, and 90 grams of hashish were confiscated. Smaller amounts of other drugs were also found during the search.
In addition to the drugs, a switchblade, a folding knife, and a large amount of cash were discovered. The origin of the cash could not be clarified on site.
The resident of the apartment was not present during the search. No further information about the individual involved in the drug trafficking case was provided.
The search warrant was issued by the Essen Public Prosecutor's Office. Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
