The Ibbenbüren City Guide e.V., a local organisation established in 2006, is offering a variety of tours for visitors to explore the historical, artistic, and natural wonders of the town. Here's a rundown of the tours available in September and October 2025.

On September 11, 2025, art enthusiasts can join Karl-Hermann Müller for an art tour along the SkulpTour, starting at 11:00 am from the Old Honey Factory, Klosterstraße 21. The tour is approximately two hours long and costs €10. Tickets can be purchased on-site, and registration is required via email at [email protected].

For those interested in history, Barbara Vollstedt will lead a historical tour titled "Lucky Break! On the historical traces of the Ibbenbüren coal mining." on September 14, 2025. The tour starts at the signpost at the northern edge of the car park at the Hotel Leugermann, Osnabrüücker Straße 33, and goes over the Königsberg to the Schafberg. Registration is required via email at [email protected].

Unfortunately, the "Jews in Ibbenbüren" tour scheduled for September 14, 2025, has been cancelled for organisational reasons. A rescheduled date will be announced.

The "Lucky Break!" tour on September 14, 2025, includes a special feature: a view of the Oeynhausen steam engine, which is usually not accessible. However, an another "Lucky Break!" tour will take place on October 4, 2025, at 3:00 pm, but without the view of the steam engine.

For nature lovers, Ursula Grolle will lead a nature enjoyment tour titled "Rochustour" starting at 10:00 am on October 11, 2025.

Additionally, the Ibbenbüren City Guide e.V. offers tours about the "Ibbenbüren washerwomen" and a candlelit city walk "Unheimlich sagenhaft".

The organisation also offers hikes, such as "From the Venn to the mountains" on October 26, 2025, at 12:00 pm, led by Susanne Plake.

Further information about all tours offered by the Ibbenbüren City Guide e.V., including pricing, duration, and registration details, can be found on their website at www.stadtfuehrer-unsere website. All tours are subject to availability and require registration in advance.

We hope this guide helps you to plan your visit to Ibbenbüren and experience the rich history, art, and nature the town has to offer.
