News Article: Multiple Fires Rage in Yakutia, Special Attention Given

Fires are currently burning in several districts across the Republic of Yakutia, with a total of 10 fires near populated areas causing concern for authorities.

In the Tomponsky District, a fire is situated 3 km from Tepliy Klyuch. Meanwhile, in the Mirninsky District, another fire is located 9 km from Zarya.

The Olekminsky District is particularly affected, with three fires reported. One is 7 km from Tyanya village, another 9 km from Byas-Kuel, and a third 10 km from Kudu-Kuel. The fire near Byas-Kuel village is currently complicated, authorities have reported. Additionally, a fire is located 4 km from Khan in the Neryungrinsky District.

Two fires are burning in the Lensky District, with one situated 8 km from Turukta village and another 6 km from Innyaly. The Aldansky District is also affected, with a fire 13 km from Kutuany. Lastly, a fire is in the Vilyuysky District, 5 km from Sidybyla.

However, some progress has been made, with two fires - the one in Kudu-Kuel in the Olekminsky District and the one in Tepliy Klyuch in the Tomponsky District - having been localized. Most of the remaining fires pose no immediate threat due to water barriers between them and populated areas.

The fires are under the special attention of the authorities, as reported by First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Sadovnikov. To combat the fires, if weather permits, a Be-200 ChS amphibious aircraft will be sent to the fire near Biyas-Kuel in the Olekminsky District. This aircraft is operated by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).

As of now, there are 103 fires in Yakutia, covering an area of 351,000 hectares. The authorities are working diligently to contain and extinguish these fires, ensuring the safety of the population and the preservation of the region.
