Severe Automobile Collision on Public Roadways
In the early hours of this morning, at around 03:05 AM, a serious traffic accident occurred on Benninghauser Straße, house number 84, Lippstadt-Benninghausen. The accident involved a severely damaged Seat, and the driver, a 34-year-old, was severely injured.
According to the Soest Police, the 34-year-old was driving from Herringhausen towards Lippstadt when the vehicle veered off the road, flipping multiple times, hitting two parked cars and a gas tank, and ending up on a property. The driver was trapped in his car and had to be freed by the fire department.
The car was secured as evidence on order of the public prosecutor's office in Paderborn. A blood sample was taken from the 34-year-old. His life is currently in danger, and he was airlifted to a hospital in Dortmund for treatment.
The traffic commission of the Soest police department has taken over the further investigations. An accident reconstruction team from Münster was called to the scene to document the evidence.
