Severe Car Collision on a Public Highway
In Wickede (Ruhr), a serious accident occurred on Ruhrstraße near the intersection with Hohenweg on Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM. The incident involved a motorcyclist and a car driver.
According to the news report transmitted by the Kreispolizeibehörde Soest, the car driver failed to notice the approaching motorcycle and collided with it while turning. As a result, the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center in the Ruhr area.
First responders and emergency services attended to the critically injured man on the scene. The motorcycle and the car involved in the accident were secured as evidence by the Arnsberg Public Prosecutor's Office.
An accident investigation team from the Hochsauerlandkreis Police Authority and the Arnsberg Public Prosecutor's Office have been involved in the investigation. The traffic division of the Soest Police has taken over further investigations, with the incident being handled by the Traffic Division of the Soest Police.
The motorcyclist involved was a 57-year-old man from Ense. The car driver was a 63-year-old man from Wickede.
