In the heart of Herdecke, a severe traffic accident occurred at Herdecker Bach Street, house number 27. The incident involved the police, ambulance services, a doctor, and the fire department.

The fire department secured the accident scene, particularly against passing traffic, and kept crossroads clear in case of backup, especially at the entrance and exit points for the fire department.

Upon arrival, personnel from the Johanniter Unfallhilfe provided initial aid before the fire department took over. Thankfully, both injured individuals were categorized as having minor injuries and were transported to a hospital. No people were trapped in the wrecked cars, one of which was on its roof.

The bottleneck through Herdecke had to be fully closed for approximately an hour due to the accident. The police, 2 ambulances, a doctor, and a fire department assistance unit were present at the scene for this duration.
