In Zimbabwe, Shona Prince's Avondale branch has become a bustling tech hub, attracting walk-ins curious about Starlink kits, pricing, and installation. This growing interest in the satellite internet service is not limited to Harare; many Starlink adoptions are happening outside the capital, particularly in areas like Mutoko and smaller towns.

Shona Prince's business is expanding, with branches now spanning five African countries. The company's strategy in Zimbabwe involves expanding its network of branches to increase Starlink's reach and accessibility.

The satellite internet service offers two main packages: the Roaming package and the fixed-service deal. The Roaming package, priced in the 30s, is popular among those in rural and semi-urban regions, where fibre is unavailable. These areas are adopting Starlink because it is the first genuinely viable high-speed internet option. On the other hand, the fixed-service deal, priced in the 100s, is more appealing to those in urban areas like Harare, where the anticipation for a cheaper, fixed-service deal has been palpable.

However, uptake for the roaming option in Harare has been limited due to the anticipation for the cheaper, fixed-service deal. Approximately 10,000 Starlink users in Harare are using the Roaming package due to lack of residential capacity.

Shona Prince is the only authorized retailer of Starlink in Zimbabwe, listed on the official Starlink website. The search results did not contain information about where Shona Prince announced additional countries in which she will operate as an authorized Starlink retailer.

As Shona Prince's business continues to grow, it brings the promise of high-speed internet to more and more parts of Zimbabwe, bridging the digital divide and opening up new opportunities for its people.
