Shooting in Chicago Heights leaves one dead, four injured
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a shooting incident occurred in the 400 block of West 14th Street, south suburban Chicago Heights.
The incident, which took place around 4 a.m., resulted in at least four victims. One victim was pronounced dead as a result of the shooting, while another was found with injuries to his face.
An additional victim walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound, bringing the total number of victims to five. Initially, two of the victims were listed in critical condition. However, the conditions of two victims were later stabilized.
Unfortunately, one victim succumbed to their injuries, leaving a total of four victims reported in the aftermath of the shooting.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, but the name of the police officer or investigator leading the investigation has not been disclosed.
