SiGMA Euro-Med 2022: A Pillar of Malta's Global iGaming Hub

SiGMA Euro-Med 2022, held in Malta, solidified its role as the Global iGaming Hub with a series of significant events. The highlight was the first formal B2G (Business-to-Government) forum, which took place on September 2nd at Fort St. Angelo in Birgu.

The B2G reception proved to be a neutral, high-trust space for policymakers and operators to discuss market realities transparently. Eman Pulis, the founder of SiGMA, emphasized SiGMA's commitment to evidence-based regulation and consumer protection.

Christopher Cutajar, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, underscored Malta's role in helping businesses like SiGMA expand internationally through diplomatic support. He reaffirmed Malta's commitment to partnership, stating, "Together, we will continue to showcase all that Malta has to offer."

The government representatives involved in the B2G reception included Malta's Minister for the Economy and the Digital Economy, as well as other key figures from the Maltese regulatory and governmental sectors.

SiGMA's expanding B2C (Business-to-Consumer) focus was also highlighted during the event. Pulis announced a dedicated team acting as an alternative dispute resolution center for the growing B2C sector.

The B2G reception was not just about policy dialogue. It was integrated with a curated experience that valued heritage, celebrated creativity, and put purpose first. A six-piece band from the Malta Armed Forces opened the night with a live performance, while plastic artists created works during the reception, and a silent auction featured three standout pieces by local artists. All proceeds from the silent auction went to the SiGMA Foundation, reinforcing the group's social impact mission.

The event served as the official launch of SiGMA Vision 2030, the company's five-year roadmap for global growth and public-private collaboration. The Vision 2030 book, the concrete expression of SiGMA's strategy for the next phase, was officially launched at the event.

Future editions of the B2G reception are already being planned as part of SiGMA's Vision 2030 roadmap. In line with this, SiGMA will soon launch a dedicated B2G website serving as a hub for media, events, and stakeholder engagement.

The B2G reception brought together ambassadors, government authorities, regulators, and high-level executives, demonstrating how diplomacy, innovation, and regulation can converge in a single space. SiGMA Euro-Med 2022 was indeed a testament to Malta's commitment to fostering a thriving and responsible iGaming industry.
