JJ, the victor of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, is yet to make a decision about whether he will host the final in Vienna Stadthalle on May 16, 2026. The 24-year-old countertenor, who won the European music competition in May with his pop aria "Wasted Love", expressed his anticipation for the upcoming contest in Vienna.

Born and raised in Vienna, JJ is looking forward to seeing what next year's Eurovision Song Contest in his hometown will be like. The public broadcaster ORF is organising the event, and the expected hosts for the Eurovision Song Contest final at the Wiener Stadthalle on May 16, 2026, are likely to include JJ, along with possible co-hosts such as previous ESC winner Conchita Wurst, TV presenter Victoria Swarovski, and Austrian ESC commentator Andi Knoll.

JJ's upcoming single "Back To Forgetting" is set to be released this Friday, marking three and a half months since his Eurovision triumph. This new pop-oriented song sees JJ using his high voice and classical elements less than in his winning song "Wasted Love".

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held for the third time in Vienna, following the events in 1967 and 2015. JJ is aware of the work involved if he were to perform and host the Eurovision Song Contest, but he has not ruled out the possibility. His earlier statement about potentially hosting the Eurovision Song Contest was made as a joke.

The Eurovision Song Contest is a European music competition, and JJ's victory has brought pride to Austria. As a trained opera singer, JJ's unique voice and captivating performances have made him a fan favourite, both in Austria and across Europe.

Regardless of whether JJ decides to host the Eurovision Song Contest, fans can expect a spectacular event in Vienna Stadthalle next May. The countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has already begun.
