Singer Lady Gaga reveals her latest eerie track, titled "The Dead Dance," contributing to the music of show 'Wednesday'
In an exciting turn of events, pop sensation Lady Gaga has joined the cast of the hit Netflix series 'Wednesday' for its highly anticipated second season. The show, which is set to return in September, has already gained a four-star review from music and entertainment publication NME, who praise the series for its promising setup for an explosive return.
Lady Gaga will be portraying the character of Rosaline Rotwood in the second half of the second season. Fans can catch her debut on September 3, when the second half of the season becomes available on Netflix.
In addition to her acting role, Lady Gaga has also contributed a new track to the series, titled 'The Dead Dance'. The song, co-produced by Gaga herself alongside Andrew Watt and Cirkut, brings an infectious bassline, 'Thriller'-esque synths, and licks of electric guitar to the table.
'The Dead Dance' is set to accompany a dance scene in the series, and Gaga's character Rosaline Rotwood will undoubtedly bring a fresh energy to the show. The official music video for 'The Dead Dance', reportedly directed by Tim Burton, will premiere on YouTube at 5pm BST today.
Gaga's involvement with 'Wednesday' doesn't stop there. She has also been added to the performance line-up for the 2025 MTV VMAs, and is set to head to the UK later this month for four nights at London's O2 and two dates at Manchester's Co-op Live.
Gaga has been busy with her 2025 'Mayhem Ball' tour, which kicked off in July. Despite her busy schedule, she has shared that she had a wonderful time working on 'Wednesday' season two. Executive producer Tim Burton described working with Gaga as "the best" and "a really special environment".
The second season of 'Wednesday' promises to take the series to new places, according to NME, who predict that the second half of the season might take the series to new heights. Fans can't wait to see what's in store when the series returns in September.
