FC 08 Homburg Bolsters Defense with the Signing of Nils Röseler

FC 08 Homburg has made a significant addition to its roster for the 2022/2023 season, with the signing of center-back Nils Röseler. The experienced defender joins the club from Dutch second-tier side Roda JC Kerkrade.

Röseler, who has played approximately 260 games in the top two Dutch leagues, brings a wealth of experience to the Waldstadion. His career history includes stops at VVV-Venlo, Chemnitzer FC, SV Sandhausen, FC Ingolstadt, and Roda JC Kerkrade, as well as multiple transitions between Germany and the Netherlands.

The 30-year-old defender began his football career at SV Bad Bentheim before joining the youth academy of FC Twente Enschede. He made his Europa League debut for Twente in 2011. Most recently, Röseler played 66 games for Roda JC Kerkrade in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

Head coach and sporting director Roland Seitz is delighted with the new signing. "Nils is a very experienced defender who will do our defense good," Seitz said. "We are pleased to have him on board."
