"Sochi to receive warning of poor weather conditions"
Weather Alerts Issued in Sochi: Residents and Visitors Urged to Take Safety Precautions
The Municipal Crisis Management Center (MCMC) in Sochi has issued weather alerts for the upcoming days, from September 8th to 10th. The alerts are being disseminated through siren-speaker systems across the city.
During this period, residents and visitors can expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail in the resort and Sirius FTC areas. Gusty winds up to 25 m/s are anticipated, posing a potential risk.
One of the main concerns is the rising river water levels in Sochi from September 8th to 10th. Additionally, there is a risk of waterspouts forming over the sea in Sochi during the same period.
The MCMC has emphasised the need for safety precautions, urging everyone in Sochi to stay vigilant and prepared. In case of an emergency, residents and visitors are advised to contact the emergency services on 112 or 101.
The weather alerts have been issued following a thorough analysis by the MCMC. A photo provided by the Sochi Administration shows the siren-speaker systems being activated, signalling the start of the weather alert period.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay updated on the weather conditions and follow any instructions provided by the authorities. By taking the necessary precautions, everyone can ensure their safety during this period of potential weather instability in Sochi.
