Someone has hurled an e-scooter at an individual with a disability, and police are requesting any eyewitnesses to come forward with information.
In the early hours of this morning, an incident occurred on Bielefeld's Ostwestfalendamm that has left authorities puzzled. A 23-year-old Opel driver, travelling along the road towards Quelle, had a close call when an object fell from a bridge around 4:25 AM.
The object in question was an electric micro-vehicle, or E-scooter, which was found severely damaged and lying on the green strip next to the roadside, approximately 300 meters before the first bridge. Thankfully, the driver managed to swerve right in time, avoiding a collision with the fallen E-scooter.
The E-scooter's origin remains a mystery, as the person or persons who threw it from the bridge remain unidentified. The incident has been described as an "unbelievable action" by those in Bielefeld.
The police have initiated a criminal investigation for endangering road traffic in response to this incident. Witnesses who may have information about the incident are encouraged to contact the Traffic Commission 2 at 0521-545-0.
