SpaceX Successfully Deploys Starlink Satellites, Marks 500th Rocket Landing (Video Documentation)
SpaceX Successfully Launches Falcon 9, Marking Milestone in Space Exploration
In a significant event on September 5, 2025, SpaceX, the space exploration company founded by Elon Musk, successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This marked SpaceX's 111th Falcon 9 mission of the year and its 529th overall since 2010.
The mission, which took place at 8:32 a.m. EDT, carried four satellites: CRS-24, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13F, OneWeb 1, and SES-18 and SES-19. This was the 22nd Starlink mission by SpaceX, and the launch also included the deployment of 28 Starlink broadband satellites into low Earth orbit.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket made a successful return to Earth, touching down on the SpaceX drone ship "Just Read the Instructions." This was the 27th touchdown for this particular booster and the 500th successful recovery of an orbital-class rocket overall by SpaceX.
SpaceX currently operates two orbital-class rockets, the Falcon 9 and the Falcon Heavy. The Starlink satellites (known as Group 10-57) are scheduled to be deployed one hour and four minutes after the launch.
The Starlink megaconstellation now numbers more than 8,370 active satellites. SpaceX continues to play a crucial role in space exploration and broadband connectivity, with its innovative technologies and frequent missions. This latest launch is a testament to SpaceX's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in space travel and technology.
