Speaker under scrutiny discusses an alleged romantic relationship
In a shocking turn of events, the Leipzig Regional Court began a trial against Hendrik G., a local resident, on Friday. The trial is expected to bring clarity to the allegations of sexual assault against his stepdaughter, Alexandra M., who has accused him of numerous incidents spanning from 2014 to 2020.
Hendrik G., known for his politically eccentric views and a strained relationship with his former partner Alexandra's mother, Heike M., has been charged with 12 counts of severe sexual abuse of children and 50 counts of sexual abuse of persons under his care since 2014. Prosecutor Mandy Rindsland listed 72 individual incidents of alleged abuse.
The relationship between Hendrik G. and Heike M. began in the summer of 2012. However, it was not until 2021 that Heike M. learned about the accusations of abuse against her daughter through a call from Alexandra. In response, she asked Hendrik G. to leave their shared household.
The locations of the incidents varied, with one incident occurring during a joint hotel stay in Berlin where the victim was touched in an intimate area by the suspect. The defense, led by an unnamed attorney, claims that there was no sexual contact before Alexandra's 18th birthday and that nothing happened without her consent later on.
Through his defense, Hendrik G. denied the charges of abuse but admitted to starting a relationship with Alexandra when she was of legal age. The defense also states that the relationship was kept secret from the mother.
Alexandra M., who initially accepted Hendrik G. as a stepfather, has been vocal about the alleged abuse. The prosecution alleges that Hendrik G. manipulated Alexandra and attempted to penetrate her, and had unprotected sex with her at least 48 times.
Hendrik G. shielded himself with protective measures (mask, sunglasses, cap, hood) before appearing at the Leipzig Regional Court. He remained silent when confronted with the allegations during a group discussion.
The trial is scheduled to continue for three more trial days, with the hope of bringing closure to the victims and their families. The search results do not provide information on the professional counseling service that Heike M. used in 2021 after learning about the rapes of her daughter by Hendrik G.
This is a developing story and more updates will follow as the trial progresses.
