Sports event of the future blends art and athleticism to offer an engaging experience
The Future of Sports pop-up experience is set to return to Williamsburg, New York, from November 3 to January 6, 2023. The event will take place in a 9,000-square-foot warehouse located at 61 North Ninth St.
This immersive pop-up promises an exciting blend of athletics and art, offering visitors a unique and interactive sports-themed experience. The pop-up includes various sports-related activities such as holographic basketball courts, football arcade rooms, and volleyball courts made of sand.
The founder of the pop-up, Nicole Pinedo, was inspired by her father's experience playing soccer for Bolivia during the 1994 World Cup. Her passion for sports and love for art have come together to create this one-of-a-kind event.
The pop-up will feature fun takes on soccer, basketball, tennis, boxing, and cycling. Visitors will have access to boxing, cycling, and yoga classes set in futuristic spaces. The pop-up also offers fitness classes within its premises.
In addition to the sports activities, the pop-up experience combines art and sports in an artist's interpretation of a soccer room. Visitors will be able to pose in front of sports-themed photo backdrops for selfies.
Tickets for the pop-up are $35 and can be found at thefutureofsports.com. The pop-up attracted more than 20,000 visitors during its debut last year in D.C., and it is expected to draw a large crowd in Williamsburg as well.
