Sports network NBC seals live-streaming agreement with Arizona Athletic Venues
The Arizona Athletic Grounds, one of the country's top-shelf youth sports facilities, has announced a partnership with NBC Sports Next. This exciting collaboration will see the SportsEngine Play streaming platform become the exclusive video and streaming partner at the grounds.
Opened in 2022, the Arizona Athletic Grounds attracts over 2.6 million visitors each year, with as many as 100,000 visitors during tournament weekends. The facility welcomes teams from around the world, making it a global hub for sports enthusiasts.
As part of this partnership, more than 80 fixed cameras with intelligent technology will be installed at the grounds. These cameras will seamlessly follow gameplay and integrate with SportsEngine Play for immersive coverage. SportsEngine Play, first launched in 2018, is a subscription streaming service for youth and amateur sports.
SportsEngine Play allows organizations and individuals to capture and stream video of sports events on various devices, including sophisticated AI cameras and personal smartphones. The platform is constantly adding new competitive content through the acquisition of streaming rights to elite amateur sports.
Thousands of games and events held each year at Arizona Athletic Grounds will be streamed by SportsEngine Play. The platform offers editing tools for reel and highlight creation, and its All Access subscription tier provides a growing library of video content on various sports-related topics, including rules, equipment, training, skills, mental health, fitness, and more.
The All Access subscription tier also features exclusive instructional videos from world-class athletes like Michael Phelps, Larry Fitzgerald, Shaun White, Kerri Walsh Jennings, and others. Additionally, it offers insights on leadership and mental health.
NBC Sports Next President Will McIntosh expressed excitement about capturing all the action at Arizona Athletic Grounds, while Arizona Athletic Grounds President Meg Stevens expressed pleasure about partnering with NBC Sports Next to offer the SportsEngine Play platform.
The facilities at Arizona Athletic Grounds span over 280 acres in Mesa, Ariz. They include eight baseball and softball fields, 16 basketball courts, 24 multipurpose fields, 50 indoor volleyball courts, 12 beach volleyball courts, 6 indoor futsal courts, 41 pickleball courts, a 14,000-square-foot performance center, and multiple festival fields.
SportsEngine Play will stream from various venues at the grounds, including baseball and softball, basketball, multisport fields, indoor and beach volleyball, and futsal. This partnership is set to revolutionise the sports streaming landscape, offering an unparalleled viewing experience for sports enthusiasts worldwide.
