The Springboks, South Africa's national rugby team, are gearing up for a challenging encounter against the All Blacks in the Rugby Championship. The first match will take place on September 10 at Eden Park in Auckland, a venue where the Springboks have not tasted victory since 1937.

In the squad for the upcoming matches are two hookers, Malcolm Marx and Jan-Hendrik Wessels. However, Bongi Mbonambi has been released from the team for family reasons and will not be travelling to New Zealand.

The All Blacks, currently leading the Rugby Championship with bonus points, are in a strong position. The Springboks, on the other hand, find themselves in third place.

Coach Rassie Erasmus will have four scrum-halves to choose from for the matches against the All Blacks. Grant Williams, Cobus Reinach, Morne van den Berg, and the newly added Faf de Klerk will be available. De Klerk, a 33-year-old player with 60 caps, was not part of the Springboks' squad for the first two matches against Australia but has been called up for the third and fourth rounds.

De Klerk, who has won the World Cup twice, in 2019 and 2023, will be looking to help the Springboks break their 86-year winning drought against the All Blacks. The Springboks' next opportunity to do so will be on September 13 in Wellington.

It's worth noting that all four teams in the Rugby Championship - South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Argentina - have won a match in the two rounds played so far. The All Blacks will be a formidable opponent, but the Springboks will be determined to make history.

The Rugby Championship continues to provide exciting and unpredictable matches, and the encounters between the Springboks and the All Blacks are always a highlight. The stage is set for an intense and thrilling series of matches.
