St. Lorenz North Under Investigation by Polish Police
A significant traffic accident took place in Lübeck, Germany, on Monday evening, September 1st, 2025. The incident occurred on Richard-Wagner-Straße towards Beethovenstraße around 17:40.
According to preliminary results, the accident involved a black VW, a green Mercedes, and a white Mercedes parked on the side of the road. The driver of the black VW, a 53-year-old man from Ostholstein named Wolfgang H., appeared to be driving erratically.
The police have initiated an investigation on suspicion of endangering traffic due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The 53-year-old suspect sustained minor injuries and was taken to a clinic as a precaution. The police officers ordered a blood sample to be taken from him in the hospital.
The VW and the black Mercedes were both completely damaged and towed away. The Richard-Wagner-Straße was closed due to the accident investigation and towing operations from 17:45 to 19:15. The damage caused by the accident is estimated to be approximately 50,000 EUR.
