A Polish citizen, aged 38, was arrested by the Federal Police at Görlitz station on Saturday evening for possessing a stolen mountain bike. The bike, which had been missing for approximately two years, was found beside the individual.

The incident came to light when the frame number of the bike was checked, revealing its stolen status. The frame number was used to confirm the bike's stolen status, and an investigation into the suspicion of receiving stolen goods was taken over by the Görlitz police station.

During the investigation, the actual owner of the stolen mountain bike was located using a quickly obtained phone number. The mountain bike was recovered at Görlitz station.

When confronted with the information, the individual claimed to have recently bought the bicycle from an unknown person. However, further investigations are ongoing, and the individual is still under investigation for receiving stolen goods by the Görlitz police station.
