Stolen E-Scooter Recovery at Central Station by Federal Police, BPOL NRW Reports
A 26-year-old Romanian man found himself under investigation by the Federal Police Directorate in Sankt Augustin, Germany, on September 7th. The incident occurred in the city of Paderborn, at the main train station.
The man was observed riding an E-scooter through the station, which had been reported stolen. The E-scooter was subsequently seized by the Federal Police and subject to a property security notice.
The individual initially claimed to have borrowed the scooter from a friend. However, further investigations revealed that the E-scooter belonged to a 55-year-old man from Salzkotten, who had reported it stolen. The stolen E-scooter was returned to its owner.
The investigation was carried out by the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin and was conducted on a Sunday evening. The man now faces charges of receiving stolen goods.
