Stolen Moped Escape From Pursuing Police Officers

On Saturday, 23rd August, at approximately 1:18 AM, police in Gummersbach attempted to stop a moped being ridden in pairs on Gummersbacher Street. The moped, which had been stolen by hot-wiring it on a parking lot in Bergneustadt-Wiedenest, was being driven by an unidentified 15-year-old from Gummersbach.

During the chase, which occurred on Gummersbacher Street, the driver of the moped fled, leading to a pursuit that ended on the premises of an auto dealership. In the process, the fleeing individuals damaged a new vehicle parked on the dealership's premises.

The two teenagers, along with their 14-year-old companion, were found and temporarily detained by the authorities. After the incident, they were handed over to their legal guardians.
