In a move that signals a growing trend in the streaming landscape, Amazon has announced a partnership with NBCUniversal's Peacock. This partnership is part of a strategy known as bundling, where multiple streaming services are combined into one subscription package.

The collaboration is set to significantly expand Prime Video's sports offerings. With this partnership, Prime subscribers will gain access to four out of five NFL packages, adding to the platform's already impressive sports library. Peacock, on the other hand, stands to benefit from this partnership by potentially reaching a wider audience.

This partnership is not the first for Prime Video, which is considered a re-inventor of cable. The platform has already collected other services like Apple TV+, HBO Max, Paramount+, and Starz. Amazon's CEO, Mike Hopkins, has mentioned an interest in partnering with Comcast NBCUniversal for Peacock, aiming to integrate their content into Prime Video and offer Peacock as an add-on subscription.

Comcast president Mike Cavanagh has stated that this partnership delivers significant value across their businesses and expands exposure of Peacock's content. Peacock, with approximately 41 million subscribers, is still on the smaller end compared to other streaming platforms, making this partnership a strategic move for both companies.
