'Strengthening efforts for renovation between August-Bebelplatz and Weseler Straße in Duisburg-Marxloh': urban planning workshop announced
The bustling neighbourhoods of August-Bebel-Platz and Weseler Straße in Duisburg-Marxloh are set for a transformation, with the needs of its users at the forefront. An upcoming planning workshop aims to create spaces that are accepted and co-designed by all.
The winning landscape architecture group from a recent competition, organised by "Stark im Norden", will lead the workshop. Although the exact name of the office is yet to be disclosed, their innovative ideas are eagerly anticipated.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, September 11, from 6 to 8 PM, will take place at the Campus Marxloh, Paulskirche 6. It offers an open and creative atmosphere for discussion, exchange, and shared visions.
The focus of the workshop is shaping the future of August-Bebel-Platz and Weseler Straße. Discussions will include possible uses and locations such as new plantings, seating areas, and a planned water feature. Participants are encouraged to share additional suggestions for the final planning phase.
Different perspectives will be heard and combined during the workshop. Representatives from an unspecified agency, as well as project managers from "Strong in the North", will be present. At the workshop, participants can learn about the current draft for the design.
The winning landscape architecture firm from the planning competition will be available on the evening to answer questions and discuss ideas. The event is free and open to all, with no registration required.
