In a closely contested match at Craven Cottage, Fulham manager Marco Silva found himself expressing concern and confusion over two significant decisions that favoured Manchester United.

The game took a turn when Bruno Fernandes, the United captain, missed a penalty in the 38th minute. Despite this setback, United managed to score a contentious goal, with Fulham players believing that Leny Yoro pushed Calvin Bassey in the move that led to the goal. Yet, the video assistant officials did not intervene, leaving Fulham feeling aggrieved.

Silva, in his post-match interview, expressed his desire to explain the decisions from the first whistle to the last, but maintained that it is not his job. He was left angry about these decisions, with his team being on top at the end of the game.

Amorim, Fulham's manager, also shared Silva's sentiments, expressing his concern about his team's performance after United took the lead. He believed his team forgot how to play after scoring and became too focused on holding onto the advantage.

The goal scored by United was not aided by a VAR intervention, despite the potential push on Calvin Bassey by Leny Yoro. This controversial decision was made by the referee, Chris Kavanagh, who officiated the game.

However, Fulham were not without their own setbacks. Rodrigo Muniz scored an own goal for Manchester United in the 60th minute, putting the visitors in a commanding position.

But Fulham fought back, equalizing the score 17 minutes from the end of the game, with Emile Smith Rowe scoring the goal. Despite this, they were unable to hold onto the advantage, with United securing a narrow 2-1 victory.

Amorim, who has won just seven out of his 29 Premier League games as the manager of Fulham, believes his team needs to improve and grow as a unit. He will be looking to bounce back in their next game, as they continue their quest for survival in the Premier League.
