Struggling pair stirs turmoil in Paris Saint-Germain's ranks.
Paris Saint-Germain Braces for Injury Absence of Key Players
Paris Saint-Germain is set to be without two of its offensive stars, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele, for several weeks due to injuries sustained during the World Cup Qualifiers.
In the 2:0 win against Ukraine in Wroclaw, Desire Doue was substituted early in the second half and is now leaving the French squad to join PSG. The duration of Desire Doue's absence from the team was initially unclear, but it's now expected that he will be out for a significant period.
Ousmane Dembele, who was substituted into the game to replace the injured Doue, could potentially miss between 4 to 6 weeks due to a muscle injury on his other thigh. This injury could cause him to miss the start of the Champions League.
Didier Deschamps, the coach of the French national team, had no doubts about Dembele's fitness before the injury. However, the medical department of Paris Saint-Germain had warned the federation that Dembele had just recovered from an injury. Despite this, Deschamps defended his decision to play Dembele, stating that he would not have done so if Dembele was not fit.
Dembele himself stated that he did not feel anything serious before the injury occurred. Head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, has not yet commented on the situation.
Desire Doue's early substitution in the game against Ukraine was a surprise, especially to the club. The circumstances surrounding his injury are still unclear, but his absence is a significant blow to PSG's offensive line.
Both Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele are leaving the French squad to join Paris Saint-Germain, and the team will need to find a way to cope without them in the upcoming games. The club has not yet announced any replacements for the injured players.
This is a developing story and more updates will be provided as they become available. Stay tuned for more news on the injury situation at Paris Saint-Germain.
