In the city of Kryvyi Rih, a nine-year-old boy named Matvii has returned to school following a tragic incident this spring. The young boy, who was attacked by Russian forces at a local playground, lost his arm in the attack, but with the support of the Superhumans team and METRO UA, he now has a prosthesis to help him with daily activities.

Matvii's injury was a result of the ongoing war, and the Superhumans team has been working tirelessly to support not only soldiers but also civilians and children like Matvii who have been affected by the conflict. The Superhumans team's support includes work for children who have been injured as a result of the war.

The teachers at Matvii's school had prepared professionally for his arrival to ensure a smooth adaptation. They welcomed Matvii with open arms, and his classmates greeted him with hugs upon his return. Despite his injury, Matvii was running around, talking to his classmates, and appeared positive on his first day back at school.

Matvii's father expressed relief and gratitude about how his son was accepted at school with the prosthesis. He stated that it was better to say goodbye to an arm than to a son. The family also received support from METRO UA, who financed the prosthesis used by Matvii.

Tragically, Matvii's mother was killed during the same attack. However, the community has rallied around Matvii, providing him with the support he needs to move forward. The Superhumans team visited Matvii's school to support him on his first day back, and the school administration has vowed to continue to provide Matvii with the care and attention he needs to succeed academically.

As the war continues, the work of organisations like the Superhumans team and METRO UA is more important than ever. They provide hope and support to those who have been affected by the conflict, and their efforts are making a real difference in the lives of children like Matvii.
