The world of DC Universe is gearing up for a new adventure, as filmmaker James Gunn has completed the first screenplay for the upcoming film, "Man of Tomorrow."
The story is set to bring back familiar faces from the Daily Planet, including Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo's Jimmy Olsen, and other employees. It's also rumoured that Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi's Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, and Sean Gunn's Maxwell Lord may make appearances.
One of the key characters in Man of Tomorrow could be Lex Luthor, who might be building or acquiring his Power Armor. An interesting twist could be an uneasy alliance between Lex Luthor and Superman to tackle a common foe. Another intriguing character could be Milly Alcock's Kara-Zor El/Supergirl, Superman's cousin.
David Corenswet, who was a part of the 2025 Superman film, is set to reprise his role as the lead actor in Man of Tomorrow. The official cast for the film has not been announced yet, but Isabela Merced is heavily implied to be part of the cast as Hawkgirl.
The principal photography for Man of Tomorrow is expected to begin in early 2026, and it's possible that the first footage will be released in late 2026. The official plot brief and a trailer for the film have not been released yet.
