Surveying a perilous region at 7th Height Ildehausen is being undertaken by THE DOLL.
Last Wednesday, a hazardous situation occurred on the federal motorway 7 near Ildehausen, in the direction of Kassel. A car's roof box detached, spilling luggage onto the left and middle lanes, causing damage to an approaching vehicle.
Initial safety measures were taken, and traffic was rerouted to the right lane until the police arrived. Numerous items were found on the lanes by the customs officer and her colleagues from the Main Customs Office of Braunschweig.
The drivers of both vehicles stopped further south, and fortunately, the occupants of the damaged vehicle appeared to have no personal injuries. The driver of the vehicle causing the damage was able to reload his luggage after the cleanup.
The police initiated further measures on-site, and CUSTOMS contacted both vehicle drivers. The hazardous situation has since been resolved, and the motorway has been reopened.
