In a shocking development, a new lawsuit has been filed against US President Donald Trump, alleging that he concealed details about Jeffrey Epstein's alleged sex trafficking ring.
The lawsuit, filed by Virginia Giuffre, a woman who claims she was forced to have sex with Trump, also names Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell as defendants. Giuffre alleges that Trump knew about Epstein's actions and continued to associate with him despite this knowledge.
Prince Andrew, a member of the British Royal Family, has been embroiled in controversy over his alleged involvement with Epstein. However, he has denied the allegations, stating that he has never met Giuffre. Maxwell, Epstein's former associate, has previously denied any involvement in Epstein's alleged crimes.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for alleged assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent hiring, supervision, and retention. It alleges that Trump's organization, the Trump Corporation, received payments from entities associated with Epstein.
The Trump Corporation has not responded to requests for comment regarding the lawsuit.
Jeffrey Epstein, an investment banker, died at the age of 66 in 2019. His death sparked renewed interest in the allegations against him and his associates. Some politicians and celebrities have tried to distance themselves from Epstein in the wake of the renewed scrutiny.
