In the heart of our city, creativity and local craftsmanship come together at the "HANDGEMACHT! Kreativmarkt". This vibrant market, which began as part of our city's city marketing project "Made in our city" in November 2018, has been growing and evolving ever since.
The "HANDGEMACHT! Kreativmarkt" showcases a diverse range of handmade products, from self-stitched items and candles to macrame, jewelry, natural cosmetics, ceramics, and decorative items for home and garden. This summer edition, taking place on June 14, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm at Europaplatz alongside the weekly market, promises to be another celebration of local talent.
Among the exhibitors at this year's market are Taschenmanufaktur/ la prima e l'unica, manufacturers of handmade leather bags, and ReStyled, specialists in emergency pouches and wallets. Studio.oolala offers sun catchers and decorative items, while Wunschbuch provides college notebooks and covers.
For those with furry friends, Glückspelz provides a variety of dog accessories, and Schätzeleinen offers dog leashes, collars, bowls, and treat pouches. The little treasures Workshop creates plotted cups, decorative items, small gifts, and fabric pouches, and Ketten-Sägen HolzArt crafts wooden figures made from local woods.
New additions to the market this year include Kati's Nähzauber, offering baby and children's clothing, stuffed animals, utensil holders, bags, and backpacks, and Nicky's Kreativkiste, providing wooden boards with burned-in designs, acrylic bowls, and keychains.
Creative Sari produces decorative and gift items made from Keracraft and concrete, and MaschenSinfonie creates lace scarves and shawls, as well as 3D pictures made from knitted/crocheted items. Eluza & ylméa pottery offers handmade ceramics, and Deko-Lädchen presents decor items for house and garden made from wood and other materials.
The "HANDGEMACHT! Kreativmarkt" also features Dreads by Magdalena, offering unique hair accessories, and KerzenHerzShop, selling hand-poured candles. FiliHandmade offers macramé and crocheted items, and Steinbilder C.Glaser-Steinmetz, Casa-Bella provides handmade stone pictures from pebbles and greeting cards from pebbles.
The response to the "Made in our city" project has been overwhelming, with a diverse range of local products now represented by 18 manufacturers in the shop. The next edition of the "HANDGEMACHT! Kreativmarkt" is planned for August 23, 2025, promising another exciting showcase of local talent.
