Talented offspring of Afghanistan cricket veteran achieves maiden century in the fourth List A contest of his career
In the world of cricket, a new star is rising. Hassan Eisakhil, a 19-year-old prodigy, has been making waves in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and beyond.
Last month, Eisakhil made his List A debut for Mis Ainak Region against Band-Region. In his debut match, he left an immediate impact, scoring a maiden List A hundred. He finished the match with 105 runs off 138 balls, a promising start to his career.
Eisakhil's form didn't falter after his debut. In his second List A match, he scored another hundred. This time, he made 83 runs before reaching the milestone with a six, taking his total to 188 runs in the match. The match ended with Mis Ainak Region scoring 349-7 against Amo-Region.
Eisakhil's innings in the second List A match contained 10 fours and three sixes, a testament to his powerful batting. His current average in the tournament stands at an impressive 55.50.
Before his List A debut, Eisakhil had already made a name for himself in the 2025 Ahmad Shah Abdali Four-Day tournament. He ended the tournament with 330 runs from four games, including two hundreds. His average in the tournament was a commendable 47.14.
Eisakhil's talent extends to the T20 format as well. He made his T20 debut in 2022.
However, Eisakhil's cricketing journey isn't without its memorable moments off the field. In the Shpageeza Cricket League, he hit his father for a first-ball six, a moment that undoubtedly brought a smile to his family's face.
